Texas Historical Commission - Historic Texas Cemetery - Dedicated 1886 "This historic site is part of the bounty given to Louise Jackson for the supreme sacrifice of her husband, Thomas Jackson, at the Battle of the Alamo." "The King's Highway passed on the western border of this cemetery which was the burial site for settlers and Indians since the early 1800's." "Rudolph and Eleanora Reeh, interred here, emigrated from Germany in 1844 and 1845. They were part of the first German immigrants to arrive in Indianola, Texas and were part of the first settlers of New Braunfels. Rudolph Reeh served in the Confederate Army during the civil war." "Jakob and Mary Goll, interred here, settled in Seay, now Wetmore, in 1846. The Golls were active members of La Villita church. In 1861 Jakob Goll founded the first Hermann Sons Lodge in Texas.
